Als **Financial Officer**ben je verantwoordelijk voor het beheren van de dagelijkse financiële administratie van zowel Mek Europe BV als Mek Americas LLC. Je speelt een cruciale rol in het waarborgen van een nauwkeurige en efficiënte verwerking van financiële gegevens en het opstellen van maandelijkse financiële rapportages.

Je werkt nauw samen met de directie, externe accountants en operaties om financiële stromen te sturen, processen te optimaliseren en inzicht te bieden in de financiële prestaties van beide entiteiten.

**Taken en verantwoordelijkheden**:
**Financiële administratie**:

- Verwerken van inkomende en uitgaande facturen voor Mek Europe BV en Mek Americas LLC.
- Beheren van bank
- en kastransacties en zorgdragen voor een correcte boekhouding.
- Controleren en verwerken van declaraties en uitgaven.
- Onderhouden van debiteuren
- en crediteurenadministratie.

**Financiële rapportages**:

- Opstellen van maandelijkse financiële rapportages, inclusief balans, winst
- en verliesrekening, en cashflow-overzichten.
- Signaleren van trends, afwijkingen en potentiële verbeteringen.
- Consolideren van financiële gegevens van Mek Europe BV en Mek Americas.

**Controle en compliance**:

- Voorbereiden van informatie voor externe accountants en toezichthouders.
- Zorgdragen voor naleving van lokale fiscale en wettelijke verplichtingen (BTW, vennootschapsbelasting, enz.).
- Assisteren bij de jaarlijkse audit en het opstellen van jaarrekeningen.

**Procesoptimalisatie**:

- Identificeren en implementeren van verbeteringen in financiële processen en systemen.
- Samenwerken met collega’s om financiële data inzichtelijk en toegankelijk te maken.

**Functie-eisen**:

- **Opleiding**: Minimaal MBO+ of HBO werk
- en denkniveau, bij voorkeur in Finance, Bedrijfseconomie, of Accountancy.
- **Ervaring**:

- Minimaal 3 jaar ervaring in een vergelijkbare functie.
- Ervaring met internationale administraties is een pré.
- **Vaardigheden**:

- Goede kennis van boekhoudsoftware (bijv. Reeleezee, Xero, Exact Online of vergelijkbaar).
- Uitstekende beheersing van Excel voor analyse en andere Office-tools.
- Beheersing van zowel de Nederlandse als de Engelse taal (zowel mondeling als schriftelijk).

**Role Overview**:

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Accounting**:

- Processing incoming and outgoing invoices for Mek Europe BV and Mek Americas LLC.
- Managing bank and cash transactions, ensuring accurate bookkeeping.
- Reviewing and processing expense claims and expenditures.
- Maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable records.

**Financial Reporting**:

- Preparing monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow overviews.
- Identifying trends, discrepancies, and potential improvements.
- Consolidating financial data for Mek Europe BV and Mek Americas LLC.

**Compliance and Audit**:

- Preparing information for external accountants and regulatory bodies.
- Ensuring compliance with local tax and legal obligations (e.g., VAT, corporate tax).
- Assisting with annual audits and preparing financial statements.

**Process Optimization**:

- Identifying and implementing improvements in financial processes and systems.
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure financial data is clear and accessible.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**: Minimum MBO+ or HBO level, preferably in Finance, Business Economics, or Accountancy.
- **Experience**:

- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with international financial administration is a plus.
- **Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Reeleezee, Exact Online, Xero or equivalent).
