**Your role & impact**
As the Legal Counsel & Compliance Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our platform operates ethically, legally, and in line with our mission. You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact and grow your career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance to our executive team and key stakeholders on all legal, risk, and compliance matters.
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial and strategic transactions aligned with our strategic goals.
- Participate in projects involving multiple jurisdictions, acting as a strategic partner and collaborating cross-functionally to drive our business forward.
- Manage all aspects of corporate housekeeping and contract lifecycle management.
- Oversee litigation, conflicts, and employment matters in collaboration with our People team.
- Lead our compliance efforts, serving as our Compliance Officer and Data Privacy Officer.
- Engage and supervise outside counsel as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on legal developments and provide training to the organization.
**Your profile**
- LL.M. Degree, preferably from a Dutch University.
- Qualified lawyer in Europe, ideally with bar admission in the Netherlands.
- 5+ years' experience advising marketplaces, with in-house counsel experience preferred.
- Strong background in contract drafting, data privacy, and compliance.
- Hands-on and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in English and proficiency in Dutch preferred.
