**What will you do?**
Grow our export market It sounds simple, but with your experience, you know exactly what it takes.
You will give content and execution to the Export Plan, initially focusing on several European countries and Latin American market. You will inform, advice, and train ophthalmologists and distributors and build long-term customer relationships to achieve sales targets and growth in your markets. You will report to the Global Export Manager and actively collaborate with and be supported by colleagues from the Commercial Office at the headquarters.
You will participate in important international congresses and represent Ophtec there. Frequent travel (at least 50% of your time) is part of the role. For the remaining time, depending on where you live, you will work from home or our office.
**Your profile**
- Bachelor’s degree and several years of experience in an (international) sales role, preferably within medical devices;
- Knowledge of ophthalmology is a plus but not a requirement. You are willing and enthusiastic to quickly acquire this knowledge through intensive training and field observation;
- Excellent communication skills, a well-developed empathy, and knowledge of other cultures. This enables you to build a professional and successful relationship with both existing and new customers;
- Strong negotiation skills, highly motivated, self-starting, recognize negotiation opportunities and know how to seize them;
- Didactic skills and well-developed fine motor skills are very useful for providing training;
- Travel energizes you, you are flexible and able to spend at least 50% of your time abroad. Communicating in English and Spanish is effortless for you.
