What will you be doing as a Plant HSE Officer?
As an HSE Officer at OCI Nitrogen, you will be responsible for setting up and advising on (process) safety, working conditions and environmental policy. You are an important link in the development, implementation and safeguarding of the HSE policy and the continuous improvement of the HSE culture. In this independent position, you will be involved in creating awareness about the importance of working safely throughout the organization, both in the field of personal safety and in the field of process safety. You will carry out risk analyses, identify potential hazards and develop procedures to minimise them. In addition, you will be involved in drawing up and providing training to employees regarding safety and health guidelines. You will be the main point of contact for HSE-related issues and ensure that all legal requirements are complied with.
In this versatile position, you will work in the day shift and you will be part of an HSEQ team that provides support to the 3 plant units. In doing so, you report directly to the HSEQ Manager.
You recognize yourself in this
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as HVK, Environmental Science, Safety Science or Chemical Engineering.
Preferably experience as an operator in a chemical plant.
At least 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the chemical industry.
Thorough knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in the field of safety, health and the environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.
