**About the role**

As Company Lawyer/Corporate Counsel for Hästens Group, you will be a highly skilled and business-minded, legal professional based in in Amsterdam who serve as a trusted advisor to our executive leadership and key business units. Hästens is operating in more than 40 countries and this role is responsible for providing comprehensive legal counsel across a wide range of areas including contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, employment law, and litigation management for the Group.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Contract Negotiation and Drafting**: Reviewing, negotiating, and drafting contracts with vendors, customers, and other parties. This requires a strong understanding of contract law and the ability to protect the company's interests
- **Litigation Management**: Managing legal disputes, including representing the company in court or working with external lawyers. This might involve pre-litigation dispute resolution, discovery, and trial preparation.
- **Compliance and Risk Management**: Ensuring the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations. This includes developing and implementing compliance programs and identifying potential legal risks.
- **Intellectual Property Protection**: Protecting the company's trademarks, and copyrights. This involve enforcing intellectual property rights and advising on licensing agreements.
- **Corporate Governance**: Advising on corporate governance matters, such as board meetings, shareholder agreements, and corporate compliance.
- **Skills and Qualifications**: Degree from an accredited law school.; Experience in corporate law.; Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with individuals at all levels of the organization. Understanding of business principles and practices. The ability to translate complex legal concepts into business-friendly language is crucial. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

**Preferred Qualifications, skills and competencies**
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law, in good standing, in the relevant jurisdiction
- 5+ years of experience practicing corporate or in-house counsel law, with a focus on contracts, compliance, and general corporate matters

**Proven experience in**
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts
- Providing legal guidance on regulatory compliance and corporate governance
- Managing or overseeing litigation, including coordination with external counsel
- Intellectual property protection and licensing
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills—able to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to translate legal concepts into practical, business-oriented advice
- Sound judgment and proactive risk management mindset
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations in areas such as employment law, data privacy, and commercial transactions
- Business acumen and a strategic approach to legal problem-solving
