For this important role in the Group Procurement team, we are searching for a Global Category Manager Raw Materials based in Amsterdam. **What will you do?** - The Global Category Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing categories of direct material spend across the PVM Group to maximize total cost of ownership savings and procurement value contribution to the PVM Group. - You demonstrate supply market/category expertise to drive the development and execution of strategic initiatives for global and global with regional input spend categories by: - Formulating overall sourcing strategy in conjunction with the Regional Procurement Directors and overseeing execution, including Commodity Risk Management Strategies - Driving standardised sourcing implementation and execute initiatives to drive TCO savings. - Leading a cross functional sourcing execution team - Conducting supplier negotiations and developing allocation plans - Driving risk management initiatives for selected categories of spend - Managing supplier performance for top strategic suppliers in selected categories of spend - Participating in supplier negotiations and supporting negotiations led by the Regional Procurement Director (Global with Regional Input Categories only) - Facilitating SRM in conjunction with the Regional Procurement Directors and Regional Category Managers (Global with Regional Input Categories only) - Delivering the Sustainability Goals of the business On a day-to-day basis you will be supported by the Procurement Services Team who provides Contract Management and Market Intelligence input to the full team. - In the role you will report to the Senior Global Category Manager and work closely together with Global, Regional and Local Procurement, Supply Chain, R&D team, Legal & Compliance, Marketing Finance, Group Leadership. And externally with Key Suppliers, Agents, Professional Organizations, Industry Networks, Governmental Agencies (where applicable) and others. **Does this sound interesting to you? Read on to find out more** - It will be great if you bring the following: - Appropriate university / bachelor’s degree qualification is essential. - A recognized qualification in procurement would be great. - Food Technology / Engineering background would be a plus. - Extensive knowledge of spend area at hand is preferred, with substantial professional experience (3 years min.) in strategic procurement, in an international working environment and with experience in Food Raw Materials - Full business proficiency in English is mandatory. Other languages will be a strong asset. - Sustainable Sourcing experience would be a plus. - Enjoy working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. - Job requires business travel. - Are you ready to unwrap your potential?
