**Who we are**
FOTONIQ is set for advancing its greenhouse solutions with smart technology. Its diffuse coating PAR+ brings consistent diffuse sunlight year-round, enhancing crop yields and improving energy use efficiency in controlled environment agriculture (CEA). We are a dynamic team with strong backgrounds in chemical and optical engineering as well as plant sciences to create the horticultural coating with the goal of optimizing sunlight in greenhouse. Besides conventional tools, we want to enable CEA growers to better capture the value of the coating using image analysis in greenhouse, embarking on a digital transition while making smart choices with diffuse light.
**What you’ll be doing**
- Develop and test camera calibration protocol.
- Design and build optical components.
- Execute measurement protocols on different samples and at different locations.
- Expand database with datasets of different crops and conditions.
**Who we’re looking for**
- Have recently concluded or pursuing a scientific Bachelor's or a Master’s degree such as (but not limited to) Optical Engineering, Applied Physics, Plants Science.
- Experiences with image analysis, data acquisition, and data processing is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently on your own topics.
- You are a self-starter who thrives under broad project scope and limited supervision.
- You have excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
- You have a valid (internship) working visa in the Netherlands.
