**Project background**

CROs working with Genmab provide two main types of data: structured
**sample manifests**

(e.g., spreadsheets of biological samples), and unstructured
**experimental reports**

(typically Word documents). These inputs vary widely in format and content across CROs, species, and study designs, yet all must be reviewed, validated, and harmonized before integration into internal systems such as the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

**TRACE**

**Responsibilities/objectives**
- Develop structured validation logic for sample manifests (e.g., completeness checks, format alignment)
- Extend TRACE to support ingestion of CRO reports, using LLMs to flag missing or inconsistent content and highlight key information for review
- Build a cohesive and user-friendly interface to guide the entire review and QC process
- Document development steps and logic
- Present findings and prototypes to the Bioanalytical Science and Translational Data Science teams

**Requirements**:

- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's/HBO or Master's in bioinformatics, data science, or a related field, at a Dutch University.
- Available for a minimum of 6 months (up to 12 months).
- Experience with programming in R, shiny and Python for data analysis.
- Experience with natural language processing or Shiny is a plus.
- Demonstrates creativity, strong analytical thinking, organizational skills, a collaborative spirit, and a proactive attitude.
