At NuFrontiers, Nutreco's Corporate Venturing arm, we are looking for an entrepreneurial Investment Manager who thrives at the intersection of innovation, strategy, finance and commercial success.

In this role, you will spearhead high-value, strategic partnerships that push the boundaries of technology to shape tomorrow's sustainable protein value chains.

Over the past six years, we’ve established 18 innovative collaborations and investments. Now, it’s your turn to lead the charge by identifying and developing new partnerships and investments that will further enable our business lines to thrive. Success in this role means not only securing and implementing new technology partnerships but also driving value creation within our existing portfolio.

**About The Role: Driving shaping the Future through strategic innovation**

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the end-to-end process of sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and closing strategic partnerships and investments, ensuring a high volume and quality of opportunities across key innovation areas.
- Evaluate potential external projects by assessing technology, strategic fit, partner value, and business case, aligning with internal business line stakeholders.
- Drive value creation within partnerships / portfolio companies through hands-on support, formal board roles, and streamlined collaboration with Nutreco teams.
- Secure Management Board approval by preparing thorough documentation for partnership and investment decisions, while managing contract negotiations to deliver win-win outcomes.
- Expand and nurture Nutreco’s external network, proactively generating leads for new technologies and partnerships through strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:

- MSc in life sciences (PhD preferred) with at least 10 years of experience in life sciences investment, corporate finance, strategy consulting, private equity, business development, or strategic partnerships, ideally in animal nutrition, health, or biotechnology.
- Strong understanding of food production, agriculture, and aquaculture, with knowledge or ability to quickly grasp areas like aquaculture feed, animal nutrition, and alternative proteins.
- Excellent analytical, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex environments, manage multiple senior stakeholders, and recommend strategic next steps proactively.

- Drive Strategic Partnerships and Investments: Lead the sourcing, negotiation, and execution of high-impact partnerships and equity investments, aligning with Nutreco’s innovation strategy.
- Value Creation for Portfolio Companies: Manage and support portfolio companies to enhance growth, streamline collaboration, and drive long-term value creation across Nutreco's business units.
- Expand Nutreco’s Innovation Network: Build and maintain a robust external network of collaborators, proactively generating opportunities for new technologies and strategic projects.
