**ROLE OVERVIEW**

**PURPOSE OF JOB**

The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that our organization operates within all applicable regulations, laws, and internal policies, thereby maintaining the integrity of our organization. This role involves providing strategic advice to the first line of defence and monitoring adherence to regulatory requirements. The Compliance team focuses on the client acceptance process from prospect to client and on second line (transaction) monitoring throughout the client relationship. This includes implementing compliance programs, continuously monitoring and developing the SIRA, and providing training to employees on compliance related matters.

**MAIN RESPONSILITIES AND DUTIES**
- You will be responsible for successfully completing the second line compliance processes for potential and existing clients of JTC. This includes overseeing the entire onboarding and re-acceptance process from start to finish.
- Conduct thorough client due diligence and continuous (transaction) monitoring to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Provide advice to the business and management board on compliance related matters, helping to inform business decisions and strategies.
- Address compliance issues and identify and manage potential integrity risks by continuous monitoring of the SIRA.
- Support the coordination of tasks within the compliance team to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Promote and maintain an integrity conscious corporate culture throughout the organization. You will offer guidance and training to CDD specialists, Company Lawyers, and other team members on compliance operations.
- Improving internal policies and procedures while staying abreast of current regulatory developments, including Wet Toezicht Trustkantoren (Wtt 2018), EU anti-money laundering regulations and sanction regulations.

**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Master’s degree in law or business administration.
- Experience in the trust industry or with Wtt 2018 or Wwft is an advantage.
- English speaking, Dutch is an advantage.
- Pro-active, able to take initiative and anticipate compliance needs.
- Attention to detail.
- Result and task driven.
- Analytical and independent.
- Decisive.
- Strong writing and reporting skills.
- Structured way of working.
- Team player.
