Your aim as a Legal Counsel is to provide legal guidance and support across various legal areas, ensuring Bugaboo’s compliance with laws and regulations, mitigating legal risks, and facilitating business operations to protect the organization’s reputation and business interests in line with Bugaboo’s internal standards.
You are part of the Legal team and report to the Head of Legal.
**What will you do**
As a Legal Counsel at Bugaboo, you will play a critical role in providing legal guidance and ensuring compliance across the organization. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Legal Advisory :Advising functional and operational managers on legal matters, ensuring that business activities, policies, and transactions align with legal requirements.
- Contract Drafting & Negotiation: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts to safeguard the company’s interests and mitigate potential risks.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Monitoring legal and regulatory changes, updating company policies, and conducting compliance reviews to minimize legal risks.
- Dispute Resolution & Litigation: Collaborating with external legal advisors, providing necessary documentation, and keeping stakeholders informed about legal proceedings.
- Corporate Governance: Ensuring compliance with corporate governance policies, assisting in regulatory submissions, and maintaining corporate records.
- Training & Awareness: Conducting legal training sessions to enhance employees’ awareness of legal obligations and compliance best practices.
- Legal Documentation: Organizing and maintaining legal records, ensuring accessibility and compliance with documentation standards.
- You will be a trusted advisor, helping Bugaboo navigate complex legal landscapes while enabling business growth in a legally sound manner.
**What you will bring to the table**
- **A Master of Laws (LLM) - Dutch Civil Law.
- 3-5 years of legal experience, specializing in commercial, contract, and corporate law.
- Strong background as an in-house legal counsel or lawyer with experience in international corporate environments.
- Proven ability to manage legal risks, contracts, and disputes effectively.
- You’ll leverage your expertise to protect Bugaboo’s interests and contribute to its growth.
