- Key responsibilities_
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the shipping, offshore, and related maritime markets.
- Consistently make prospecting calls to target potential clients.
- Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to build industry presence and generate leads.
- Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms for both the company and the customer.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from initial lead to closing deals and post-sales support.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market analysis for senior management.
- Ensure excellent post-sale customer support, including follow-ups and addressing any concerns related to the products/services delivered.
- Qualifications_
- Prior experience working as a ship agent or in an operational role within the maritime industry.
- Knowledge of the Dutch shipping market and strong connections within the local industry.
- Understanding of port operations, vessel requirements, and logistics.
- Proven track record of 5 years of high achievement in a sales positions in shipping industry
- Strong network (name people/companies)
- Interested in Information Technology
- Self-starter
- English speaker
- Experience with CRM software (Salesforce)
