At Diabeter, we treat people with diabetes in our network of clinics, and develop innovative digital solutions to enable personalized, digital-led care. We test them in our own clinics before selling them to other hospitals and clinics across Europe and the Middle East. We are growing rapidly and we are looking for a dynamic and smart Finance Leader to join the team and take our Finance organization to the next level.

**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned**:

- Financial Planning and Budgeting: Develop and manage annual operating plan, forecast financial performance, and ensure clinics operate within their financial means. Collaborate with clinic management to develop long-term financial strategies that align with the clinics' goals and growth plans (Strategic Financial Planning). Develop and maintain financial dashboards and management information systems to provide real-time insights into the clinics' financial performance and key metrics.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular financial statements and reports to senior management and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis. Represent the finance function during board meetings, shareholders' meetings, and supervisory board meetings, providing financial insights and updates.
- Negotiations with Health Insurance Companies: Lead negotiations with health insurance companies to secure favorable reimbursement rates and terms, ensuring optimal revenue for services provided.
- Revenue Cycle Management: Oversee billing, coding, and collection processes to ensure timely and accurate revenue capture from patient services.
- Cost Control and Management: Monitor and manage operating costs, identify areas for cost savings, and implement strategies to improve financial efficiency. Manage investments, oversee funding strategies, and ensure optimal utilization of financial resources.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, financial laws, applicable GAAPs and internal policies. Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies. Serve on the audit committee of the supervisory board, providing financial oversight and ensuring adherence to audit and compliance standards.
- Staff Management and Development: Lead and develop the small finance team, providing training and support to ensure high performance and adherence to best practices.

**Required Knowledge and Experience**:

- Minimum 5 years of practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within Finance, including statutory financial statements preparation, VAT and CIT coordination.
- Advanced knowledge and skills within Controlling or Finance function with the understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organisation.
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Tax, Accounting or Business Administration.
- Fluency in both Dutch and English.
- Based in Rotterdam or Utrecht; Travel to the offices in Rotterdam - at least 3 days per week.
