(Part of the Old Scuola group Rotterdam).** You, together with the chef, will be at the heart of the kitchen operations. You will work with different pizza-making processes, which you already have experience with or can quickly learn new skills. As a pizza maker, you will manage the pizza station, ensuring perfect dough preparation, baking, and overall quality control. You will also be responsible for maintaining an organized and clean workspace and ensuring efficient use of ingredients. You communicate well and respectfully with both your team and the rest of the staff on the floor. You are looking for a long-term, positive working relationship with your employer. **Who are you**: - You are a true team player with a positive mindset. - You have calm but effective communication with both the kitchen team and the floor staff. - No compromises - quality is always the focus. From dough preparation to baking the perfect pizza and maintaining a "spotless & clean" pizza station. - You speak at least English (Dutch preferred). - You have proven experience in pizza making, ideally with a wood-fired oven. You work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, staying cool under pressure, adjusting when needed, and providing positive feedback. - You live in or around Rotterdam. - You are looking for a combined role that includes both lunch and dinner service. **What will you do?** You will be responsible for, among other things: - Preparing pizza dough - Making toppings and mise en place - Operating wood-fired ovens - Ensuring the pizza station is clean and organized - Baking pizzas to perfection for both lunch and dinner service - Keeping track of stock and ensuring an efficient flow of ingredients All of this under the guidance of the chef and sous-chef. You will take responsibility for HACCP & hygiene in your work area. **Organization**: your pizza station is always organized and clean.
