**Job Description** What are you going to do as a manager of accounting operations?**
Play a key role in our accounting team As a manager of accounting operations, you’ll drive efficiency and improvement within our processes and systems. You’ll provide support for strategic initiatives and take ownership of specific accounting areas during the month-end close.
You’ll establish accounting excellence. As our brand-new manager of accounting operations, overseeing the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements is your responsability. You’ll manage month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial records and reporting in compliance with Dutch GAAP. You’ll also manage annual financial statements audits.
You’ll lead and manage a global team of accountants, providing mentorship and support to ensure high performance. You’ll oversee the general ledger and accounts payable processes, while also supervising external accountants as necessary. In addition, you will lead the consolidation of global financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance across our international subsidiaries. You’ll play a key role in building, maintaining, and enforcing internal controls, as well as providing relevant information for tax filings and collaborating with the controller to ensure compliance with state and local filing obligations.

At our TOPdesk headquarters in Delft TOPdesk is an internationally growing software and consultancy company and the creator of the best service management tool in the Netherlands. With over 900 colleagues in 8 countries, we work together every day to make our customers’ services better, smarter and more fun.
You’ll lead and manage a global team of around ten accountants, offering mentorship and support to ensure high performance. You will oversee the general ledger and accounts payable processes, while also supervising external accountants as needed.
**Qualifications**
- You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Ideally, you’re a qualified accountant; RA is a plus but not required.
- You have experience in backoffice transformations.
- You have 5 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience in a fast-paced and rapidly changing business environment.
- Do you have at least 2 years’ experience with a Big 4 or equivalent national accounting firm? That’s a big plus.
- You have proven experience in managing direct reports and fostering team development, with at least 7 years of expertise.
- Preferably, you have experience in the SaaS or Technology industry.
- You have strong technical accounting skills. Experience with multi-currency is a plus.
- You’ve worked with one or more financial ERP/general ledger systems; Business Central experience is a plus.
- You’re able to operate effectively in a fast-paced team environment, manage competing priorities, and adhere to tight deadlines.
- You’ve got strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- You’re fluent in English, both spoken and written. Speaking Dutch is highly regarded as well.
