**What are you going to do?**:

- You conduct independent research and aim to publish in high-ranked international journals. The scope of your research can be broad and may include topics such as capital structure, corporate social responsibility, corporate governance, development finance, portfolio management, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, financial intermediation, household finance, investment management, asset pricing, etcetera.

- To qualify, you should have:

A PhD in Finance or Economics, or being close to completion.
- Teaching experience and good teaching skills, in finance.
- Research papers in the area of finance, with the potential to be published in top-tier academic journals (or published articles in these journals).
- A University Teaching Qualification (UTQ) or the willingness to obtain this qualification.
- A collaborative and positive attitude, strong communicative skills; and
- An ambition to develop an international network of professional contacts.
You have good teaching skills and are interested in developing these further. You will contribute to courses in the BSc and MSc programs offered by the Department. Moreover, you are involved in the supervision of bachelor and master theses.
**What can you expect from us?**:

- In accordance with the collective labor agreement for Dutch universities, we offer a salary of at least € 4.728 (Schaal 11) up to a maximum of € 6.433 (Schaal 11) gross per month for a full-time employment contract.
- 232 vacation hours per year, based on a 38-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). You can also work more or fewer hours in exchange for more or fewer free hours. For example, with a 40-hour workweek, you save 96 extra free hours, and with a 36-hour workweek, you lose 96 hours.
- End-of-year bonus of 8.3% and 8% holiday allowance.

The Department of Economics, Econometrics and Finance (EEF) is responsible for teaching courses in many BSc and MSc programs offered by the Faculty on topics like finance, banking, econometrics, macroeconomics, microeconomics, statistics and mathematics.
