Join us as a Repo Trader
- Working from our NatWest Markets Amsterdam office as a Repo Trader, you’ll be supporting our European client business
- You’ll be carrying out trading activities on our products according to the strategy and risk appetite of NatWest Markets

What you'll do

In your new role working in our fixed income business, you’ll be working closely with our European Repo franchise team. You’ll be supporting our clients with trades, managing and hedging portfolio risk, and optimising positioning across NatWest Markets, working closely with other traders who cover European Government Bonds, EUR Interest Rate Swaps, G10 FX forwards, G10 FX options and XVAs, which will give you a great opportunity to gain experience of these products.

We’ll look to you to understand the risk run by the desk, as well as managing your own risk positions and executing hedging strategies, making sure your own risk limits are not breached. You’ll proactively be involved in identifying opportunities to improve, simplify, and automate our processes.

Day to day you’ll also be:

- Meeting financial objectives as defined in your performance objectives, targeting a sustainable and robust business P&L stream and risk profile
- Responsible for the timely, accurate, and consistent pricing and execution of the desk’s product range in line with our policy
- Overseeing the risk management of the desk’s books using appropriate hedging instruments
- Accurately booking and recording the desk’s transactions
- Reviewing the activities of the desk and reconciling its P&L and risk

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with product knowledge of the Repo/Reverse Repo market, basic programming skills, and a keen interest in developing your understanding of Fixed Income products such as Rates, Bonds, and FX Forwards.

You’ll also need:

- Knowledge of Repo Settlement and Credit Lines would be a benefit
- An eagerness to learn quickly while working in a friendly and collaborative trading team
- A desire to to become a Trader
