**About this job**

As an educationalist you are continuously balancing between policy and implementation. You are not shy to express your opinion, but are also able to go with the generic opinion when necessary. You have an active role in the further roll-out of the BUas+ strategy and help with executive matters for the master's programme. A challenging position, that you fulfil with pragmatism and confidence.

**What do we offer?**
- The salary for this position amounts to a monthly minimum of €4,234.28 and a maximum of €5936.77 (gross amounts based on full-time employment);
- This position will be at level 11 of the CAO HBO (collective labour agreement). Your official job title will be that of education policy officer;
- This position involves a one-year employment contract with the possibility of conversion into an indefinite employment contract;
- Your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed when you travel by public transport;
- You will receive compensation for health insurance;
- You will receive an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% and 8% holiday allowance in May;
- You will also be awarded professional development hours every year and almost eleven weeks of holiday entitlements in a full-time position;
- You will be working on our modern, sustainable and high-tech campus;
- Moving from abroad to Breda in the Netherlands? We provide support and financial reimbursements in the case of relocation and settling-in in the Netherlands. Dutch tax authorities may offer tax reduction to applicants from abroad (which makes tax rates comparable to the UK and US).

**What do we ask of you?**
- You are proactive, pragmatic, flexible and able to train and take the lead;
- You have organisational sensitivity, are a good listener and approachable for your colleagues / lecturers and able to judge the work of lecturers (such as testing) at bachelor’s and master’s level;
- You have a master's degree in educational sciences (_Onderwijskunde _of _Onderwijswetenschappen _in Dutch) and extensive knowledge of, or work experience in, improving education and testing;
- You can communicate clearly within your team (lecturers and educationalists at ABEL) and other departments within BUas;
- You have experience in analysing, innovating and optimising education together with lecturers and management in higher professional education (_hbo_ in Dutch);
- You will be working in an international and intercultural setting. Therefore, having excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch is a necessity.
