At Podego, we’re a startup innovating how people experience audio news. We make staying informed effortless with personalized, daily podcasts from trusted sources. Powered by AI, our short podcasts deliver the day’s top headlines, tailored to each user's interests.

We are looking for a passionate copywriter/journalist to create an engaging tone & voice of our Podego news platform. As our podcast copywriter, your focus is in writing an engaging introduction of our news podcast. The news content is generally generated by AI, together with our CTO you need to ensure that the content quality is high.

As part of our international founding team, you’ll have the unique opportunity to bring an innovative product to life from scratch. If you are customer-focused, detail-oriented, and excited by new challenges & entrepreneurship, we want you on board

**Responsibilities**:

- Understanding the market & shape the unique voice of Podego accordingly
- Take ownership of the entire brand tone & voice
- from production to the app & social media
- Exploring different narrative styles of how users would like to listen to news
- Craft podcast scripts & news stories for social media purposes
- Collaborate with a development team to make sure your script is generated on the news podcast platform

**Requirement**:

- At least 2 years of experience creating responsive designs for mobile and websites, all platform standard displays
- Passionate about news and/or podcasts
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch & English
- Based in Utrecht
- Experience in writing news/podcast script in Dutch, English is a bonus (attach links to previous work)
- Experience in podcasting is a plus (attach links to previous content)
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, independent, cross-functional team with a proactive, positive, and open communication approach
- Detail-oriented & organized
- Excited about working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
- Willingness to work from office at least 2 times a week, with the flexibility to work remotely the rest of the time
- Open to last year or Master’s students with a relevant background in journalism, communications, media or any related field

**Hours, Salary & Benefit**
- Flexible part-time job, you plan your hours
- 8-16 hours per week, with the possibility of full-time after 7 months
- €14-18/hour, depending on your experience
- This position is based in Utrecht. You'll join us in the office at least two days a week._
