- In Weert we are looking for a Product Sales Manager.
- Your responsibilities and tasks:
The Product Sales Manager (PSM) plays a critical role in driving sales and order intake for GEA’s Vertical Baggers and related product range through enabling countries and direct involvement for selling individual projects, as well as country sales steering and enablement. This role is dedicated to identifying and developing new business opportunities, proactively selecting promising sales leads, and successfully converting these opportunities into secured deals within the designated territory in tight collaboration with the GEA R&C offices. The PSM is responsible for achieving individual and team order intake targets, gross margin objectives, and maintaining a strong sales pipeline.
The PSM role is integral to reinstating strong ownership and a proactive sales culture at our site, significantly contributing to GEA’s overall business success.
Your Taska:
- Ensure rigorous collaboration with R&C Offices, conducting regular business reviews and ensuring alignment with GEA’s strategic objectives.
- Act as the primary link between R&C offices, customers, agents, and internal departments (Engineering, Marketing, Order Management, Application Engineers, Planning, Trial Centre) to ensure a smooth sales trajectory.
- Oversee accurate clarification and handover of secured projects to project execution, ensuring clarity and correctness of project scope and customer expectations.
- Drive the use of the Technology Center as a strategic sales tool by conducting customer trials to demonstrate GEA’s superior value proposition.
- Stimulate detailed market analyses by the R&C offices, monitor competitor activities, and observe market trends, providing strategic insights to continuously refine GEA’s competitive positioning.
- Contribute actively to exhibitions, seminars, webinars, and training initiatives aimed at enhancing market visibility and product knowledge.
- Review customer RFQs / URS supported by the internal Weert organisation, assessing technical feasibility and associated commercial risks, configuring and preparing tailored and competitive quotations within the SAP SOH environment.
- Safeguard the quality and commercial viability of standard quotes and sales contracts in collaboration with R&C offices.
- Support specific improvement projects such as the implementation of guided sales methodologies, enhancement of quotation quality, and development of presentation materials together with marketing.
- Where needed work closely with GEA’s legal team to manage negotiation strategies and mitigate project and contract risks.
- Central management of key global accounts for vertical packaging, maintaining high-level relationships and understanding their unique business needs.
- Coordinate internally and externally to ensure seamless communication and service delivery, actively pursuing opportunities to deepen GEA's partnership with these accounts.
Your profile and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum HBO-level) or equivalent in a relevant technical or commercial discipline.
- Minimum 5 years proven experience in a sales role within the machinery manufacturing industry.
- Strong technical understanding of machinery or packaging solutions, specifically vertical bag makers.
- Demonstrated capability in consultative selling, negotiation, and closing deals.
- Fluent communication skills in English and Dutch (written and spoken); proficiency in German, French, or Spanish is beneficial.
- Proven track record as a proactive hunter, possessing strong initiative, persuasive communication skills, and high commercial acumen.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy in all sales-related activities.
- Flexible regarding working hours to accommodate international travel and varying customer needs.
