Formed in 2003, PCSpecialist Ltd has grown from humble beginnings in a bedroom to become one of the largest manufacturers of bespoke computers and laptops in Europe. Employing in excess of 250 people at our UK headquarters and manufacturing facility, orders are fulfilled and delivered to over 30 European countries.
Due to our continued growth, we are now operating a support centre in Heerlen, employing over 20 people. This centre is focused on ensuring we are providing the very best after sales care for our customers throughout Europe. The service centre handles customer warranty returns, the distribution of new products and pre-sales/after-sales care through a multi-lingual call centre. The service centre is designed with the capacity to employ up to 70 people as it develops.
We are looking to appoint a Facility Manager who will be responsible for running the building on a daily basis and will work closely with the UK-based management team.
Once appointed, the Facility Manager will be responsible for:
- Recruitment and employee management, including but not limited to: performance management, appraisals, employee welfare, health & safety management, risk assessments, training, and overseeing procedures.
- Monitor and ensure the timely processing of customer returns (RMA), aligned with company KPIs.
- Manage opening and closing of the premises, including the responsibility for alarm call out if necessary.
- Assisting in the development of the premises, including the design, layout, facilities, equipment-sourcing and resources including sourcing Plant & Machinery for the facility. You will also oversee, and project manage contractors for any projects carried out.
- Maintenance and management of all services provided to the facility, including alarms, fire equipment, services (gas, electric, water, drainage, refuse collection, recycling, internet, yard and external areas) and the general condition of the building.
- Stock management and overseeing stock takes.

**Essential experience**:
- Minimum of 2 years employee and facility management experience or similar.
- Strong leadership and communication skills in both Dutch & English (written and verbal)
- Located within a commutable distance of Heerlen.
- A strong understanding of Dutch employment law.
- Good understanding of computer hardware and technology.
- Ability to lead and develop people & teams.
**Desirable attributes**:
- Experience in technical repair and support of PCs.
- Fluency in other languages may be an advantage.
Training will be provided. You will need to travel and work within the UK for short periods during your probationary period (stays expected to be 5 - 10 working days). There may be a requirement for periodic visits to the UK for training and discussions, although this will be infrequent.

**Key Duties**
- Ensure RMA’s are processed to keep within KPI’s set out by PC Specialist.
- Recruitment and employee management, including but not limited to: performance management, appraisals, employee welfare, health & safety management, risk assessments, training, and overseeing procedures
- A strong understanding of HR Law
- Ensuring compliance with regulations
- Time/Attendance monitoring of all staff - Reporting to HR/Payroll of absence/overtime.
- Deploy SWE (Safe Working Environment) for all staff.
- Manage Health & Safety/Fire Training/Manual handling/First aid - Ensuring training/records are kept up to date.
- Risk assessments for the building/operations are kept up to date.
- Improve/Create procedures ensuring quality and productivity are optimised.
- Maintenance of machinery/Building utilities are up to date in line with local legislation and recorded.
- Recycling of all waste materials - records to be kept.
- Stock takes are taking place and stock control is managed.
- Security and point of contact for alarm activations.
- Opening and closing of the facility on a daily basis.
- Couriers queries & Claims.
**General Duties**
- Ensure clean working environment for all staff.
- Develop and maintain a positive working environment within the facility.
- General maintenance of building/grounds.
- Main point of contact for all staff.
- Reporting of targets/issues to the UK General Manager.
