The Ice Cream business is operating in a highly attractive category, as we are part of the 1 trillion snacking and refreshment industry, growing consistently at high pace. We have strong brand equity: 5 of top 10 selling brands including Wall’s, Magnum, Ben &Jerry’s. We are investing to unlock the full growth potential of Ice Cream as a standalone entity, once we separate from Unilever, which is planned to happen by November 2025.

Our focus is all about unlocking that potential, driving value for our consumers, customers, employees, and shareholders.
**JOB PURPOSE**:
The Ice Cream Global Compensation & Reward Communications Lead will play a pivotal role in building standalone, unique capabilities in the Rewards space to support the new Ice Cream organisation. The role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the development of Rewards strategy for a newly formed company from scratch and put in place the policies and processes for the execution of the same across over 50 countries in a manner that makes it a competitive edge for the organization. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in keeping the Ice Cream business competitive, balancing cost and value of reward policies that attract and retain the best talent.
This role requires a deep understanding of reward strategy and processes and the ability to think creatively around new innovations and interventions to support the business and the changing nature of work and employment.
**WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?**
- Own the design, governance and communication of global compensation policies and processes for the new Ice Cream company, including annual pay review, salary policies, annual bonus, banding framework, pay equity/gender pay gap, living wage, pay transparency - amongst others
- Review existing Unilever Reward policies, processes and tools; and build and execute a plan to dis-entangle from the same and develop / leverage existing technology in the implementation of Reward solutions
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy to cascade global reward programmes and to educate both the HR community as well as the wider employee population on reward topics. As part of this, conduct training and education on compensation programs and year-end processes
- In collaboration with HR technology experts, develop and own Total Reward dashboards to deliver relevant data to other stakeholders and use the insights of such analyses in developing the future reward philosophy and policies
- Ensure reward solutions are aligned/integrated with the other expertise solutions (in Talent, HR Operations etc)
- Build relationships and network with internal and external specialists, communities of practitioners and institutions to scan for emerging reward trends, innovations, current best practice and to understand the external reward marke; using this knowledge to shape the reward strategy
- The role is also a key member of the Global Reward Leadership team for Ice Cream and will work with the Head of Reward and the rest of the Reward team on shaping Ice Cream’s reward agenda and on ad hoc projects as required.
- Experience within a global/group level Reward Centre of Expertise (and/or reward consulting) whilst able to drive progress through hands-on execution
- Experience of large scale change management/restructuring/ transformation. Comfortable experimenting with new approaches, pushing yourself and others to achieve outstanding outcomes
- Comfortable with leading and implementing projects across multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders, will have operated in a fast paced environment where ambiguity exists.
