Kitepower is on a mission to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable world by harnessing the power of airborne wind energy. Founded as a spin-out of Delft University of Technology, we are developing our first commercial system to power farms, construction sites, remote islands, and off-grid communities with renewable airborne wind energy.

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on PR Manager to join our team in Delft (NL) or Freiburg in Breisgau (DE). As PR Manager, you will be responsible for communicating Kitepower’s vision to the world and shaping our media presence. From writing engaging posts to crafting impactful press releases, you will play a key role in building brand awareness and strengthening our relationships with key stakeholders.

**Job Tasks**:

- **Creating and publishing posts and other social media content on a weekly basis** - Writing engaging, visually appealing posts that highlight Kitepower’s innovations, milestones, and industry insights. Managing content calendars, collaborating with internal teams to gather updates, and analyzing performance metrics to optimize engagement.
- **Writing and distributing press releases** - Crafting press releases that capture the essence of Kitepower’s mission, ensuring they are distributed to the right media contacts, and following up with journalists to maximize coverage.
- **Developing news articles for our website** - Writing in-depth blog posts, company updates, and technical insights that inform and educate our community about Kitepower’s latest developments, industry trends, and efforts.
- **Planning and managing communication strategies** - Developing a structured PR and communications plan aligned with company goals, identifying key moments for media outreach, and ensuring a consistent brand voice across all channels.
- **Engaging with journalists and media contacts** - Building and maintaining relationships with relevant journalists, responding to media inquiries, pitching stories, and ensuring Kitepower is well-represented in the press.
- **Participating in weekly meetings to align communication strategies with the team** - Collaborating closely with leadership to align messaging, discuss upcoming announcements, and adapt strategies.

**Job Profile**:

- Excellent storytelling and writing skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
- Experience with social media, AI and content creation.
- A proactive, hands-on attitude with strong organizational skills.
- Affinity with sustainable energy and innovation is a plus.
- Background in Communications, PR, Journalism, or a related field is a plus
- Experience in PR, communications, or a similar role is a plus
