We are partnering with a leading pharmaceutical organization to recruit an experiencedHead of Facilities. This is a key leadership role reporting directly to theSite Director, combining strategic oversight with hands-on technical involvement. If you’re a practical leader who enjoys balancing management responsibilities with technical expertise, this opportunity could be ideal for you.About the Role You will manage all aspects of facilities operations, including projects, budgets, and planning, while actively supporting day-to-day technical activities. The Facilities team currently consists of six members and is in a growth phase, making this an exciting chance to shape the team and processes.Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the Facilities and IT team, including workforce planning and performance management. Oversee technical projects related to facilities, utilities, and maintenance, ensuring compliance and budget control. Manage installation, qualification, and maintenance of Class A and B environments in a new pilot facility. Review daily reports, plan corrective actions, and ensure operational efficiency. Maintain and improve equipment, utilities, and building systems (HVAC, water systems, fire alarms, compressed air, gases). Ensure GMP compliance and regulatory standards; review and approve IOPQ documentation. Drive HSE initiatives and chair the Health, Safety & Environment committee. Build strong relationships with vendors and the global network; monitor vendor performance annually. Develop and execute replacement strategies and CAPEX plans in collaboration with department heads.Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in Facilities Management within the pharmaceutical sector. Strong knowledge of GMP compliance and sterile environments. Expertise in utilities and equipment (HVAC, compressed air, water systems, gases). Familiarity with laboratory equipment and environments. Experience in Health, Safety & Environmental management. Service-oriented mindset and collaborative approach. Working knowledge of Dutch (minimum requirement).This is a temporary role for 12 months.
