Join Heineken’s Robotics Pilot Brewery in Zoeterwoude as a Robotics Intern and help expand the use of robots like the Boston Dynamics Spot across our brewery operations. This internship is ideal for students in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or general techies who want to work hands-on with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic industrial setting. During your internship, you will: Lead the expansion of Spot to new areas of the brewery, including mission optimization and feature development. Collaborate with brewery teams to identify new use cases. Assist in developing and testing new Proofs of Concept (PoCs) for robotics applications. Help document use cases and translate operational needs into project proposals. Work closely with the Robotics team and brewery operations staff.During your internship you will get the opportunity to get to know HEINEKEN as a company, also outside your department. The department The goal of the Robotics Pilot Brewery at Zoeterwoude is to identify and test new robotics use cases to aid our colleagues on the shopfloor. We focus on exploring and implementing advanced robotics solutions to improve safety, efficiency, and data collection in our brewing operations. Our team is small, agile, and highly collaborative, working closely with brewery staff and external partners like Boston Dynamics. You’ll be part of a pioneering initiative that’s shaping the future of smart brewing. The terms of employment Your starting date is February 2026 (start date is flexible) The internship is 3-5 days a week The duration of the internship is 6 months It is a practice-oriented internship You will be based in Zoeterwoude During your internship, you have to be on-site You will receive an internship fee of €650 gross pm based on 40 hours per week You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime) If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursedThe unique you We believe that everyone has unique talents and are therefore looking for you You are currently pursuing an HBO or WO education in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field. You have affinity with robotics and cutting-edge technology. You are fluent in either Python or C++, having knowledge of other programming languages is advantageous. You are proactive, hands-on, a good communicator, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, real-world environment. Being fluent in Dutch is advantageous.Conditions of HEINEKEN You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year during your onboarding. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU. You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship.
