We are looking for a Data Engineering Intern for our ambitious, fast growing team in Amsterdam. Working in the Data Engineering team you take a leading role in building our customer support platform.

As a Data Engineering team, we manage a complex tooling landscape that supports our supply chain from ordering to logistical planning, production and deliveries. We also provide support to various other teams within the organisation, such as our Product, Procurement and Production teams. These operational teams ship over 50 recipes to hundreds of thousands of customers every week Your internship will focus on directly contributing to our customer experience, by working on one of our solutions that enable these teams. You will be supported by a diverse and experienced team of 8 Engineers and will be working with the latest technologies and standards to facilitate the best solution.

Practical

• Contract type: Limited, internship
• Hours per week: 40 
• Start Date: ASAP
• Availability: available during standard business hours. This role requires alignment with the team's schedule and is not suitable for evening or weekend work.
• On-Site Presence: 3 to 4 days per week

This is how you'll make an impact

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, from Product, to Procurement and Production, all with different perspectives  and levels of technical know-how.
• Define requirements and technical constraints for your solutions, together with our Data Product Manager and your fellow Engineers, to determine a feasible product to deliver by the end of your internship.
• Learn from our technical standards and use this to provide an effective solution, by joining workshops, internal trainings and having pair programming sessions with your team.
• Upgrade our customer experience by making a lasting impact on our recipe quality.

These are the ingredients you'll bring to the team

• Information Science or Computer Science or similar degree (University/HBO).
• You are able to do basic Python programming and SQL yourself and are excited to follow a steep learning curve to improve this
• Strong analytical skills. You get to the root of an issue before coming up with a solution.
• You are excited to work with and learn more about AWS, Airflow, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, email/slack integrations and writing quality code
• You have a quantitative and analytical mindset and know how to use data as the basis of your decisions. 
• You don't shy away from a challenge and are able to perform in a fast-paced and continuously changing work environment. 
• You're pro-active, ambitious, and make things happen.
• Fluent in English
