Senior Billing Specialist

WHAT WILL YOU DO

• Oversee and execute billing processes, including invoice generation, validation, distribution, and reconciliation.
• Maintain and enhance master data records to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with corporate policies.
• Manage and review data exchange linked to energy processes, engaging with market parties and documenting processes.
• Act as a backup for other teams within Operations when needed, including handling customer queries and preparing regulatory reports.
• Monitor processes and workload, allocate tasks, and prepare performance reports and analytics.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to drive improvements and participate in projects.
• Provide subject matter expertise for system enhancements, testing, and automation in billing platforms.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

• Degree in related field (desirable), or proven experience
• Proven experience in a sales support, administrative, billing, or customer service role. Experience with contract lifecycle management tools or energy market messaging (desirable)
• Experience working with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) and ERP/accounting tools (desirable)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Understanding of basic accounting principles related to billing and invoicing
• Fluency in Dutch (verbal and written) and proficiency in English
