About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to strengthen our data foundation and raise the standard of how we build, monitor, and deliver data at scale.

You'll design and optimize dbt models, shape best practices for performance and structure, and help the team think more critically about data quality. You'll also play a key role in evolving our data workflows, CI/CD, and observability stack — ensuring everything runs smoothly and predictably across a growing ecosystem.

This is a hands-on, technical role. You won't manage people, but you'll lead through craft, curiosity, and influence.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize dbt models across multiple data domains.
• Maintain and improve complex, large-scale data pipelines in BigQuery and Airflow.
• Define and document standards for modeling, testing, and QA.
• Build automation and monitoring systems that improve reliability and insight into data health.
• Collaborate closely with analysts, data scientists, and engineers to ensure clarity and consistency in our datasets.
• Contribute to internal tooling, macros, and frameworks that make development faster and more transparent.

Your Profile

• 7+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a closely related field.
• Deep hands-on experience with dbt, SQL, and BigQuery (or another modern cloud warehouse).
• Strong understanding of data modeling principles and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and data quality frameworks (e.g. dbt Cloud, Elementary, Great Expectations).
• Thoughtful opinions on what good modeling and workflow design look like, backed by real experience.
• Solid grounding in statistical and quantitative techniques — comfortable not only interpreting trends and distributions but also designing sensible analytical steps, assumptions, and models to support better decisions.
• Experience in the gaming industry or other data-rich, high-volume environments is a strong plus.
• Hands-on experience with AI tooling (e.g. GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, Claude Code) is a strong plus.
• Clear communicator who values clean, well-documented, and dependable work.
