OTT Hydromet Delft seeks a candidate Quality Control (QC) coordinator. The main purpose of this role is to verify that a company's products, materials, and processes meet established quality standards by conducting inspections, tests, and measurements to identify defects or deviations. Their core responsibilities include monitoring production, documenting findings, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations, and recommending corrective actions to maintain product integrity and brand reputation.

Reporting to the Team Lead Supply Chain & Logistics, the Quality Control Coordinator will own and continous improvement processes in this newly established function.

This position is part of the Supply Chain & Logistics Team located in Delft, NL and will be on-site.

In this role, a typical day could include the following tasks:

Inspection & Testing

Inspect and test raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products using various tools, equipment, and measurement devices.

Collaboration

Work with production, engineering, procurement and QA leads to address quality issues and promote continuous improvement. 

Corrective Actions

Recommend adjustments or improvements to the production process to correct defects and prevent future errors. 

Standard Compliance

Ensure that all products and processes adhere to company specifications, industry standards, and relevant legal regulations. 

Data Documentation

Record inspection results, document defects, and report findings to relevant teams and departments.

Non-Conformance Management Process Monitoring: 

Monitor the Non-Conformance Management Process in operations to ensure consistent identification and resolution of non-conformances and identify potential issues early in the manufacturing process. 

Equipment Calibration:

Maintain and calibrate measuring and testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability. 

What qualifies you best for this role:

Technical Skills: 

Proficient in operating testing equipment, using measuring tools (like calipers and gauges), and interpreting technical documents. 

Analytical Skills: 

Ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and identify root causes of quality issues.

Attention to Detail:

Meticulous attention to detail to detect defects or deviations from standards. 

Communication:

Effective communication skills to document findings and collaborate with other

teams.

Education:

Minimum technical school (HBO)

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Proven experience with ERP shipping packaging tools.

• Proven work experience as QC coordinator or a similar role in warehouse or quality  department.

• Minimum conversational level of both languages, Dutch and English.

• Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office.
