Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam hotel is one of Amsterdam's oldest and finest five-star hotels. This beautiful building dates back to the 17th century and is located on the banks of the Amstel River, in the historic heart of Amsterdam. It won't surprise you that over three centuries, it has hosted royal and legendary guests, from Queen Victoria to the Beatles. Rembrandt's 'Night Watch' was painted to display within its walls. Our hotel is monumental and offers a classic contemporary look. The tram and metro stop Rokin is around the corner, as is Rembrandtplein. We work in a small team and know each other well. We have a lot of personal contact with our guests and because of our small size we help each other in all departments to achieve that 'extraordinary' guest experience.

Your Key Contributions to Memorable Stays  

As a Food & Beverage Management Intern, you are responsible for cooperating and supervising the restaurant, bar, banqueting and room service with an eye to efficiency, coordination and communication. You are also responsible for coaching the team. During this challenging internship you will also have the following responsibilities: the planning, organization and administrative actions of the various Food & Beverage departments, support and execution of projects for the (Assistant) Food & Beverage Manager, cost control, budget control and orders. You are also responsible for handling complaints within the Food & Beverage departments, and you ensure and maintain the correctness and level of service. In addition, you will gain a lot of knowledge with regard to products, materials and communicative means.

  • You are currently enrolled as a student;
  • You are able to work independently as well as in a team;
  • You have a guest-oriented and collegial attitude;
  • You are stress resistant, you have good communication skills, and you have a flexible attitude in terms of working hours and work pressure;
  • You have an eye for detail, and you have a good command of the English language;
  • In addition, you are innovative, resourceful, have a commercial attitude and you are available for at least 6 months.
