We support an international machine builder in the food industry in hiring a Field Service Engineer Automation. The company operates worldwide and has a dedicated Site Services department with over 100 specialists.

Role overview

You work on high-tech production lines at customer sites around the world. The role combines hands-on engineering, direct customer interaction and international travel, within an organisation that values teamwork, ownership and continuous development.

Key responsibilities

  • Commissioning complex electrical and PLC-controlled machinery at customer sites worldwide.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues; performing on-site modifications.
  • Acting as the technical link between the project team, local technicians and the customer.
  • Delivering high-quality service, including maintenance, on-site support and remote troubleshooting.
  • Preparing projects, creating technical documentation and providing practical customer training.

Profile

  • 3+ years of experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, CODESYS, B&R).
  • Solid experience with electrical systems in industrial automation.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Willing to travel internationally 50–70% of the time.
