Job Summary You will play a role in developing and delivering advanced software applications to our Engineering community. Our vision aims to radically change the Product Development Process into a frontloaded design process by utilizing design automation through Knowledge Based Engineering (KBE) and design optimization (MDO) techniques. This allows the re-use of engineering knowledge to significantly reduce design lead-times and optimize the wiring design, which is critical in the increasingly electrified sustainable aircraft of today and tomorrow. The applications need to be thoroughly tested and validated against the expected engineering solutions before being used in production.  What you'll do A position in the Research & Technology (R&T) department of Fokker Elmo B.V., which is developing new process- and product innovations within the field of aircraft electrical wiring. Fokker Elmo is part of GKN Aerospace. You are responsible for the correct delivery of functionalities through a structured testing process. Daily activities include testing (new) software features and resolved bugs, but also setting up and managing a testing framework. Additionally you will constantly communicate with both developers and key-users to ensure the delivered solution matches requirements and user expectations. Growth opportunities are spreading and owning your testing procedures throughout the company, improving programming skills to automating tests or develop features yourself. What you'll bring Knowledge, experience and qualifications:•    Academic degree (BSc or MSc) in scientific and engineering or software discipline, such as, Software Engineering/Development, Aerospace Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, OR•    Hands on experience and certification such as ISTQB Certified Tester, CSTE, Certified Agile Tester•    Knowledge of software testing frameworks and testing concepts•    Affinity with relevant software development processes and data modeling methods;•    Good verbal and written command of English. •    Bonus is knowledge of and experience in object-oriented programming languages (e.g. Python) and optionally KBE platforms / systems;•    Bonus is knowledge of project management and issue-tracking tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira Skills•    Can translate explicit software requirements to observed behavior and test this with end user expectations•    Can create, manage and maintain a large test base for a multitude of applications•    Can think out of the box to identify edge cases•    Can document and present test cases and results Core competences•    Responsibility: shows ownership and takes appropriate responsibility;•    Growth: has a strong desire for continuous learning and self-improvement•    Analytical ability: able to think at an abstract level and can identify interrelationships;•    Judgement: forms well considered opinions based on available sources and maintains objectivity;•    Collaboration: has a constructive approach to the ideas of others and is able to work harmoniously.  What we'll offer We are committed to offer you a challenge but also a great opportunity to learn and grow.
