Job Summary
The Quality Engineer leads quality assurance efforts across multiple customers and production lines. This role involves acting as the primary customer quality contact, overseeing product conformity, leading customer audits, and resolving customer claims and production line issues. The Quality Engineer is responsible for making decisions on stopping and restarting production, as well as overseeing the work of Quality Inspectors. Additionally, the role supports new product launches, ensures product compliance, and drives continuous improvement through audits, data analysis, and corrective actions.
Characterization of activities
- Serves as the primary contact for OEM customers regarding quality-related issues, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Enhances customer satisfaction by meeting expectations and managing complaints, including on-site consultations and follow-ups.
- Manages OEM scorecard reporting and oversees the PPAP release process in line with OEM-specific requirements.
- Communicates process and product changes for PPAP-approved items and initiates 8D problem-solving activities based on OEM feedback.
- Analyzes product and process data to propose improvements, contribute to ECRs, and support Six Sigma initiatives.
Education, Experience And Knowledge
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in engineering and a Green Belt certification.
- Proven experience with 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys, and other problem-solving methodologies.
- Skilled in Automotive Core Tools including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
- Familiar with IATF 16949:2016 standards, preferably with internal auditing experience.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills, self-motivation, teamwork, and adaptability.
- Must reside in the Netherlands with a valid work permit.

- Travel allowance home-work: 23ct per kilometers one way up to a maximum of 50 km
- CAO: Metalektro HP
- Retirement: PME (Pensioenfonds Metalektro).
- WIA: WIA floor, WGA gap and WGA gap additional insurances in accordance with the stipulated provisions.
- PAWW: Compulsory supplementary insurance when the statutory unemployment WW or WGA benefit expires.
- Holiday days: 27 days on an annual basis (full-time).
- ATV: 13 days on an annual basis (full-time).
