Senior Project Manager

We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead our Workday optimisation and Strada implementation across five European markets.

With more than 4.5 million members, Basic-Fit is scaling fast. Behind that growth is our HR foundation that needs to operate seamlessly across the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, and Germany. This project will have a direct impact on our entire employee population of 8,000 people — from our club staff to our HQ teams — shaping how we work, pay, and grow together. It's a large-scale, high-profile initiative with complexity across countries, systems, and employee types. YOUR MISSION

Your mission is to oversee the integrated Workday & Strada project covering HCM Core Optimisation, Time & Attendance, Integrations, Payroll Implementation, Change Management, and Communications. The project is already launched, and we're looking for someone ready to jump on board, take ownership, and use their expertise to make a significant impact.

In this hands-on role, you ensure all workstreams move in sync — aligning timelines, managing dependencies, and translating complexity into clear progress across countries, systems, and stakeholders. You'll report to the Project Director and act as the central link between teams, ensuring both the Workday optimisation and Strada Payroll implementation deliver real value for our people and the business.

You'll also play a key role in establishing a sustainable governance structure, ensuring long-term alignment and accountability across teams and markets.

YOUR IMPACT

Lead the integrated optimisation

Own the delivery of the Workday optimisation and Strada implementation across all workstreams.

Connect and align workstreams

Ensure consistent communication, cooperation and decision-making across project teams, vendors, and stakeholders.

Deliver across six countries

Balance global standardisation with local compliance and operational needs.

Drive progress and remove blockers

Report status, risks, and impact with clarity and confidence to the Project Director.

YOU ARE A

Experienced project manager – 8+ years leading multi-country projects in fast-paced, international environments.

Workday & Strada experience – Strong understanding of these HR systems, payroll processes, automation, and integration.

Risk-aware – You identify and address dependencies early and act proactively to keep the workstreams aligned.

Clear communicator – You translate complexity into clarity for teams, stakeholders, and leadership.

Pragmatic problem-solver – You prioritise what matters and thrive in dynamic, fast-changing environments.

Collaborative partner – You build strong relationships with vendors and HR/payroll teams across markets.

Multilingual – Fluent in English; Dutch or French is a strong advantage.
