OUR "TECH ART: SHADERS" TEAM

The Shader team is responsible for shaping the overall visual aesthetic of our projects, including post-processing features, and our material library-plus a whole lot more in terms of shader work This team collaborates closely with content creators, art directors, and technical teams to ensure a seamless blend of performance and implementation. Though small in size, the team has a significant impact, influencing almost every model asset and every rendered pixel in the game. With a wealth of expertise, the team thrives on sharing knowledge and working together to achieve the best possible results.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Shader Intern, you will support the Shaders team in maintaining and improving the visual and technical quality of our materials. You'll assist in handling shader and feature requests from content teams, ensuring performance remains within budget and that our pipelines ensure consistent texture data for shaders to process.

Working within Guerrilla's in-house Decima Engine, you'll gain hands-on experience with our node-based shader workflows and learn how a large-scale, production-proven engine manages rendering, optimization, and integration. Depending on priorities during your internship, you may also help with documentation, shader examples, or small workflow improvements.

We value a proactive and communicative approach, someone eager to collaborate, learn from experienced developers, and contribute to the look and feel of our worlds.
WHO YOU ARE
  • Currently enrolled in a Dutch school within a relevant field of study
  • Able to work on-site in our Amsterdam studio
  • Available for an Internship during the first half of 2026
Additionally, we'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • A mindset to work smart and reduce manual repetitive tasks
  • Experience with creating shaders & materials.
  • Experience with Substance Designer.
  • Experience with GLSL/HLSL is a bonus.
