Our team in the Zwolle region is growing rapidly to deliver tailored solutions to clients in the North and Central Netherlands. We currently have 300 colleagues, 15 of whom are based in the Zwolle region.

Your Role as Lead Engineer High Voltage (Secondary Systems)

As the Lead Engineer within your project team, you are the key designer of the systems required to control, monitor, and protect all high-voltage components installed at substations. This secondary engineering work includes extensions, renovations, and new builds. Thanks to the wide variety of substations and the rapid developments in the energy transition, your work remains exciting every single day

Your responsibilities include:

• Translating functional designs and requirements into concrete designs and project plans.
• Designing and verifying integrated solutions based on client specifications, technical standards and guidelines, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Preparing and reviewing technical documentation, drawings, calculations, and execution documents.
• Supporting the (Lead Engineer and) Technical Manager throughout the project phases — from basic design in the preparation phase to detailed execution design.
• Identifying and resolving design bottlenecks, reporting findings, and performing quality checks.

What Do You Bring to Be Successful?

• A bachelor's degree (HBO) in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, or a similar field.
• At least two years of experience designing complex high- and medium-voltage systems, with requirements related to availability, reliability, maintenance, and safety.
• Key competencies: a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset — you strive for the best results for both the project and yourself. Strong communication skills are essential, along with analytical thinking and a results-driven approach.

Our offer

Annual salary: ranging from €51,498 to €79,420, consisting of:

• Monthly salary: between €4,263 and €6,250, depending on your knowledge and experience.
• Flex budget: 10% of your gross monthly salary, which you can use flexibly — for example, to buy extra vacation days
• Year-end bonus: 3.7%
• Vacation days: 24.5 days based on a full-time contract.
• Holiday allowance: 8%
• ABP pension contribution: 27%, of which Hanab ES contributes 18.9%.
• Job-specific training: negotiable, with a training budget of €1,500.
• Collective labor agreement: Network Companies (CAO Netwerkbedrijven).
• Public transport pass: 2nd class, also for private use if you commute by public transport.
• Sustainable employability budget: €500 gross per year, for example for a gym membership.
