We are seeking a curious and driven Legal Intern to join our Legal Department in Amsterdam (on a part time basis) to work closely with the lawyers supporting the Consumer Business. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse global team and contribute to the success of well-known global consumer brands.

You will be responsible for providing practical, business-oriented legal advice on a variety of matters in the consumer field, including digital touchpoints, marketing, e-commerce, and product quality. The role will also involve supporting various projects, researching emerging topics, identifying best practices, and helping to create training materials and playbooks for the business.

What you will do

• Support the lawyers in the Consumer Business across a broad range of activities, including commercial, digital, marketing, product liability and regulatory matters.
• Advise on digital initiatives, including websites, mobile apps, consumer engagement platforms, and e-commerce activities.
• Advise on marketing campaigns and materials to ensure compliance with consumer protection and advertising laws.
• Conduct legal research on diverse topics relevant to the consumer and digital space (including a range of digital regulations such as the EU Data Act, UK Data Access Act, platform governance rules, and emerging global AI legislation) and translate findings into actionable guidance.
• Develop, update, and deliver trainings and playbooks to support internal teams in managing legal risks and implementing best practices.
• Collaborate with legal colleagues and business to ensure efficient legal support.

• Bachelor law degree with strong academic credentials, currently pursuing a Master's degree.
• Ideally (but not mandatory) 2-3 years of relevant legal experience, gained in-house within a multinational company or at a reputable law firm, preferably within an IoT or technology-driven environment.
• Experience advising on consumer law, marketing, digital, or e-commerce matters.
• Strong research, drafting, and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively with global teams and stakeholders.
• Practical, solution-oriented mindset with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
