The Role
Black Semiconductor Netherlands is looking for a
Facility Specialist (f/m/d)
to manage and maintain cleanroom and lab facilities while supporting the engineering and production teams. In this role, you will ensure that all critical facility systems—including ultra-pure water, vacuum pumps, compressors, and cleanroom filters—are operating reliably and efficiently. You'll coordinate with external suppliers for complex maintenance tasks while performing basic in-house maintenance as needed. Acting as the point of contact for contractors and vendors, you will help maintain smooth operations in a fast-paced, high-tech environment

Optionally,
the role includes responsibility for health and safety on site, including performing RI&E (Risk Inventory & Evaluation) reviews, suggesting safety improvements, and maintaining safety systems. This is a hands-on role for someone with experience in industrial cleanroom or lab facilities who values reliability, safety, and teamwork

To join our team, you should be excited to

• Operate and maintain facility systems (e.g., vacuum pumps, compressors, cleanroom filters, UPW systems)
• Perform basic in-house maintenance and coordinate with external suppliers and contractors for complex tasks
• Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors and suppliers
• Support the engineering and production teams to ensure uninterrupted operations
• Coordinate and manage inventory and stock of facility-related consumables and parts
• Lead health and safety initiatives, including RI&E reviews, safety improvements, and system maintenance (Optional)
• Be a part of the BHV (emergency response) team

Your Qualifications

• Education in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Sciences, Facility Management, or related field
• Experience in an industrial cleanroom or lab setting
• Experience working with external suppliers and contractors
• Experience with executing and maintaining RI&E procedures including implementation of safety measures for both lab and general operational settings (Optional)
• Strong hands-on problem-solving skills with a proactive and detail-oriented approach
• Reliable, open, and transparent communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in both Dutch and English
