The Position
We are seeking an experienced and competent Manager of Accounting Operations team with a strong background in managing and mentoring accounting staff. This role demands a financial expert to lead and optimize our financial processes, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations and enhancing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor accounting operations staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Oversee financial processes, including project administration, financial reporting, invoicing, and accounts payable.
  • Leverage technology and data insights to improve team performance and decision-making.
  • Ensure financial controls are robust, aligned with organizational objectives, and adhere to Segregation of Duties (SoD) principles.
  • Provide valuable insights for financial performance improvement and drive process optimization.

Professional Expertise

  • Initiate and oversee domain financial processes, ensuring operational control and compliance.
  • Drive timely reporting through consistent process improvements and controls.
  • Advise and support staff in addressing risks, compliance issues, and process optimizations.
  • Foster collaboration across departments to integrate domain policies and enhance financial processes.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to both senior stakeholders and operational specialists.

Complexity

  • Manage domain-specific challenges, balancing control, compliance, and business needs.
  • Coordinate across teams with a strong understanding of financial process dependencies.

Influence

  • Shape financial operations through expert guidance and effective team leadership.
  • Influence decision-making and risk management at the functional level.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experienced people manager in accounting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams.
  • Fluent in English & Dutch.
