OPEX Engineer
to join the Sparkling team

We are looking for our next team member, who is proactive, analytical, and eager to make an impact. Your leadership and communication skills will help you drive projects and collaborate effectively across the organization.

In this role, you will report to the
Operations Manager at the Netherlands Logistics Centre (NLC) in Tilburg
. The Operations department focuses on optimizing processes, improving productivity, and ensuring safety and compliance across all production activities. As an
OPEX Engineer
, you will lead and support initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and contribute to building a culture of continuous improvement throughout the site.

Responsibilities
To be successful as an OPEX Engineer, it's helpful to have experience in operational excellence or process improvement, preferably in a production or logistics environment. You are analytical, proactive, and enjoy working on projects that drive efficiency and safety. You thrive in a dynamic setting and can easily collaborate with different stakeholders.

You bring:

• A completed HBO-level education in engineering, industrial management, operations, or a related technical field;
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies (Green Belt certification is a plus);
• Strong understanding of safety standards and regulatory requirements for equipment and plant operations;
• Proven ability to lead productivity and process improvement projects in a manufacturing or logistics environment;
• Skills in data analysis and performance measurement, including setting KPIs and standard times;
• Familiarity with factory layout design and 5S/6S principles;
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
• Proficiency in MS Office and data analysis tools;
• Excellent English skills, both verbal and written; Dutch is a strong advantage, but not a necessity.
• We do not support a HSM VISA for this role.

• You've worked with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar tools (certified) and have real-world experience making processes better.
• You're great at spotting problems, analyzing data, and figuring out the best way to tackle challenges.
• You know the rules when it comes to safety and can help create a workspace that's both safe and compliant.
• You're confident communicating with teams, coaching them on improvements, and keeping everyone in the loop.
• You're organized and good at juggling multiple tasks, always keeping the big picture in mind.
• The main language at NLC is English, Dutch is not required for this position.
• Since you will be working in our site in Tilburg, NL, if you are not Dutch, a valid work permit/ VISA is required for the interview process, for this position we cannot support a HSM VISA. Relocation is not offered for this position.
