After a recent acquisition, the company is expanding its presence in the Netherlands and is looking for a
highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Sales & Tender Manager
to strengthen its local team. This role combines strategic sales and tender management with leadership of a dynamic and driven team.

The Role

The Senior Sales & Tender Manager works closely with the Commercial Director to develop and professionalize the company's sales and tender organization.

With strong growth ambitions in both the public and private sectors — alongside increasing competition and challenges such as grid congestion — the role focuses on strengthening the company's tender strategy, enhancing the commercial organization, and deepening relationships with existing municipal and private clients.

The manager ensures that the sales and tender funnel remains consistently filled and that opportunities are successfully converted into operational charging stations and tender wins. The position also involves identifying new propositions, clients, and market opportunities to further expand the charging network.

The Senior Sales & Tender Manager leads a team of five account and sales managers and plays a key role in driving the company's commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and expand the sales pipeline to achieve targets for new charging point deployments.
  • Further develop the tender organization and lead successful tender participation.
  • Draft and finalize contracts in collaboration with the Commercial Director, incorporating client feedback.
  • Optimize the use of the CRM system to ensure efficient client service and timely follow-up.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with public and private clients.
  • Motivate clients and colleagues to take action and ensure proper documentation of all steps and tasks.
  • Identify new business opportunities and discuss them with the Commercial Director.
  • Lead and support a team of five sales and account managers, allowing the Commercial Director to focus on strategic business development.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a commercial or technical field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in sales, consultancy, or a comparable commercial role, ideally with a strong emphasis on client relations and tender management.
  • Experience working with municipalities is considered an advantage.
  • Proven experience managing or coaching a sales/tender team is preferred.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, capable of working independently and taking initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a talent for active listening and understanding client needs.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Competitive mindset with a strong desire to achieve results.
