About the Company

We're seeking an experienced Query Specialist to join the Grip on Data program at one of the Netherlands' largest and most respected pension providers. This program focuses on improving data integrity within complex pension systems — ensuring accuracy and reliability for millions of people.

About the Role

You'll play a key role in identifying and resolving data discrepancies by developing and optimizing advanced SQL queries. Collaboration across multidisciplinary teams is essential, as you'll bridge functional and technical domains to deliver precise, high-quality results.

Responsibilities

  • Detect and correct data errors using complex SQL queries.
  • Translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with data and functional specialists across teams.
  • Conduct peer reviews to ensure the accuracy and performance of queries.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in data quality and system integrity.

Qualifications

  • HBO (Bachelor's level) education or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years' hands-on SQL experience (Oracle experience a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, data models, and performance tuning.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Pragmatic, detail-oriented, and responsible approach to work.
  • Experience in the pension or financial sector is highly advantageous.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the pension or financial sector.
