Service Engineer

Your Role Includes

• Inspecting, installing, commissioning, maintaining, and repairing equipment onsite.
• Supervising subcontractors and coordinating site activities.
• Delivering expert training for clients on Docking and Mooring equipment operations, and troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
• Providing technical support to clients including outside hours as part of a support roster. Attending sites for breakdowns outside hours will be required as part of the support roster., including process improvement and obsolescence planning.
• Work closely with the product development and engineering teams on operations, testing and equipment improvements as needed.
• Finding opportunities and crafting proposals for upgrades, services, and spare parts.
• Preparing for site visits and providing detailed reports, documentation and recommendations debriefs on assignment return.
• Commissioning equipment when required with focus on servicing
• Maintaining safety, compliance, and technical excellence at all times.

What You Bring

• Qualifications: Trade or engineering credentials in fields like instrumentation tech or electrical engineering
• Experience: 5–10 years in electrical, industrial control (PLC, SCADA), and instrumentation (MODBUS, TCPIP, etc.) systems.
• Strong hands-on fault-finding skills with the ability to work independently or in a team.
• Technical knowledge on hydraulic systems and their controls highly regarded.
• expertise and basic mechanical skills.
• Strong report-writing and client-facing communication skills.
• Industry knowledge in oil & gas or marine sectors is a bonus.
• Technical sales experience is highly regarded.

Geography And Travel

• Primary focus: Europe, with global support as needed.
• Valid passport with no travel restrictions and legal authorization to work in Netherlands
• You can be based anywhere in Netherlands with travel to office on an adhoc basis when not on site
