You'll be working together with strategic portfolio managers, data scientists and traders. We encourage learning, actively seek out collaboration, celebrate successes, and learn from failures.

What you'll do

As a strategic portfolio manager, you will play a crucial role in setting up and taking decisions for the technical setup of our strategic portfolio. We are specifically looking for someone with senior-level expertise in Databricks and Snowflake, Python and SQL. Additionally, you should excel in collaborating with other data professionals and less technical colleagues. You lead departments across the Vertical Portfolio Management from a data technical perspective and align with key related initiatives outside this Vertical.

You'll be a key player in a cross-functional team. You'll be working with a wide range of data, including customer data, smart meters, wind turbines, solar panels, power plants, and IoT devices. Your task will be to build a cloud-based data platform that can handle, store, process, and utilize this data efficiently.

Your work will not only empower other departments by making data accessible and usable but also give you the freedom and responsibility to make critical technical decisions. Your choices will ensure our solutions are robust, scalable, and ready to meet the challenges of the future.

Is this about you?

• You have at least 5 years of experience in a technical data role, such as data engineer, ML engineer or data scientist
• You have Hands-on experience with Azure, Databricks and Snowflake
• You understand data management, including schema evolution and storage formats.
• Experience in (leading) multi-disciplinary teams where data professionals from different domains work together
• You have knowledge of Software Engineering best practices, including code reviews, version control, testing and CI/CD.
• You are proficient in Python and SQL.

You'll be responsible for

• Setting up projects and leading technical decisions involving the technical setup of our strategic portfolio and portfolio management
• Architecting and implementing a platform to efficiently handle, store, process, and utilize data from various sources, such as customer data, smart meters, wind turbines, solar panels, power plants, and IoT devices
• Ensuring our solutions are robust, scalable, and ready to meet future challenges
• Empowering other departments by making data accessible and usable, driving Eneco's digital innovations forward
• Supporting strategic portfolio managers, data scientists and other data professionals by integrating and preparing raw data.
• Designing and implementing data solutions for new projects from scratch.
• Deploying, monitoring, and managing pipelines and applications in production.
• Writing well-documented code and reviewing code from colleagues.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and discuss project requirements.

What we have to offer

Gross annual salary between €82.000 and €132.000

Including FlexBudget, 8% holiday allowance, and depending on your role a bonus or collective profit sharing.
