Embedded Systems Engineer

We are looking for a full time ES-engineer to join our team of developers. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of both hardware and firmware for our in-house products. You will work closely with an experienced colleague with a unique and deep technical skill set. Together, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the existing products, as well as supporting development of new hardware and software solutions. The role requires a hands-on mindset, a willingness to explore unfamiliar technologies and the ability to solve complex problems. 

Key Responsibilities

What you will do:

  • Develop and debug software in Python, C and C++.

  • Design PCB's and troubleshoot hardware issues during the development and production cycle.

  • Design and setup test environments for your hardware and software.

  • Translate high-level and incomplete requirements into working products

  • Support and design equipment used in the Quality Assurance steps during production.

  • collaborate closely with colleagues from different disciplines and assist in cross-disciplinary bug-hunting activities. 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Fluent in Dutch and English. 

  • EU citizenship (due to project requirements)

  • Experience in software collaboration, i.e. Git, CI, scrum

  • Experience with Python, C++, Linux/bash.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bsc./Msc. degree in a field related to Electronics, Computer engineering or Embedded systems.

  • 2+ years of work experience in robotics.

  • Affinity with tech startups and the defense industry.

  • Experience with Kicad, VScode, Qgroundcontrol, Mavlink.

  • Willingness and ability to quickly learn about new technologies and products.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment where priorities shift quickly.
