Do you want to develop your team lead skills and be responsible for managing accounting processes, ensuring financial integrity, and supporting strategic decision-making by delivering reports?

Symeres is looking for a detail oriented and enthusiastic Finance Lead to manage accounting operations for our Dutch entities. You will report directly to the Group Financial Controller, based in Nijmegen. You will be part of an international and autonomous team of professionals, where you can drive your own career path. Here, you help shape the future of medicine development.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day finance and accounting operations for our Dutch entities
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the local accounting team
  • Oversee and participate in month-end closing, reporting, and audits
  • Ensure compliance with group policies, financial regulations, and risk controls
  • Provide financial insights to local management and support decision-making by delivering facts
  • Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting cycle in collaboration with managing directors
  • Drive for continuous improvements in processes, (project) reporting, and forecasting

Qualifications:

  • A completed Bachelor or MSc in Finance or related field
  • At least 4–8 years of relevant Finance experience
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage finance reporting
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to advise and influence both internally and externally.
  • Fluency in English written & verbal; speaking Dutch is an extra advantage
  • Eligible to work in the Netherlands
  • Hybrid available for 40 hours
