About the role

As Database Administrator (DBA) at Eneve, you will be one of the two senior experts at the core of our database landscape. Your role will focus strongly on SQL Server / Azure SQL administration, with a clear emphasis on operations, performance, and reliability rather than development or DevOps activities.

You will shape the future of our SQL environment, help standardize deployments using Flyway, and ensure that our database structures remain scalable, secure, and ready for the next stage of growth. If you have 7–10 years of SQL Server DBA experience, this is a place where your expertise will have real impact.

You'll manage, optimize, and secure our databases while contributing to the long-term architecture and operational stability of our systems. This is a role for someone who thrives on building structure, improving clarity, and ensuring consistent standards across environments.

Your responsibilities

  • Managing and maintaining SQL Server / Azure SQL databases (core focus)

  • Supporting PostgreSQL environments where needed

  • Implementing and optimizing database version control and migrations using Flyway

  • Designing, standardizing, and documenting database structures, policies, and best practices

  • Collaborating closely with developers, operations, and consultants across various locations

  • Monitoring and improving performance, security, and reliability

  • Contributing to long-term database strategy and operational excellence

Job requirements

You're someone who enjoys creating clarity and structure. You collaborate naturally across teams, communicate well, and bring a problem-solving mindset. You take ownership, make decisions with confidence, and care about building stable, scalable database environments.

You bring:

  • Strong experience as a SQL Server DBA (ideally 7–10 years)

  • Proven experience in database operations, performance tuning, and maintenance

  • Experience with Azure SQL Database

  • Hands-on experience with Flyway or similar migration/versioning tools

  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL, or willingness to learn; Oracle is a plus

  • Experience with version management, deployment standardization, and environment consistency

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Proficiency in English

  • A proactive, analytical mindset with a desire to grow with the organization
