Hardware Infrastructure Manager - Netherlands, Amsterdam - Permanent Contract
QCS staffing are partnered with one of the world's top AI infrastructure companies. As an organisation, our client are leading a new era in cloud computing to serve the global AI economy. They create the tools and resources for their customers requirement to solve real-world challenges and transform industries, without massive infrastructure costs or the need to build large in-house AI/ML teams.

To support our client's continued growth, they are currently looking to hire a Hardware Infrastructure Manager in Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full life cycle of hardware in the company, from gathering infrastructure requirements, internal services, placing and tracking hardware orders with ODMs.
  • Overseeing manufacturing, logistics, and inventory, to deployment and handover to service teams in data centres.
  • Conduct ost-deployment analysis to enhance future processes.

**Requirements:****

  • Full-stack specialist to cover the whole cycle from order collection to providing servers to customers
  • Not a software guy/girl, should have engineering / DC technician background
  • Should be technically skilled in terms of servers - components on the market, stay on the loop regarding market trends
  • Should be pro-active with great negotiation skills, to push our agenda while negotiating with vendors
  • Basic management skills: tables, time lines, diagrams, etc
  • Someone who will also cover the "gray area" after servers are transferred to platform
  • As a plus - Python / Bash, Linux
  • The role requires working on-site at our Amsterdam-Zuid office, with occasional travel (1-2 times per quarter) to our data centres in Europe or visits to our vendors in Taiwan
