The Opportunity

An outstanding opportunity exists for a driven
Associate
to join a leading
entrepreneurial private equity investor
based in Amsterdam. The firm partners with management teams to accelerate growth, drive operational improvement, and unlock the full potential of mid-sized businesses across the Benelux and DACH regions.

As an Associate, you will play a key role across the entire investment lifecycle — from origination and analysis to execution and portfolio value creation. This is an exceptional chance to work in a dynamic, hands-on environment where commercial insight, analytical excellence, and ownership are valued from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of the
    investment process
    , including sourcing, evaluation, due diligence, structuring, and execution of new transactions
  • Develop detailed
    financial models
    , valuation analyses, and investment memoranda
  • Conduct in-depth
    industry, company, and market research
    to identify attractive investment opportunities
  • Work directly with portfolio company management teams to
    drive operational and strategic initiatives
  • Contribute to
    board materials
    , performance tracking, and value creation planning across portfolio companies
  • Support senior investment professionals with
    deal origination, network development
    , and
    fundraising activities

What We're Looking For

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience
    in
    investment banking
    ,
    private equity
    ,
    transaction services
    , or
    strategy consulting
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to translate analysis into actionable insights
  • A commercial mindset with demonstrated understanding of
    SME business models
    and value drivers
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail, combined with intellectual curiosity and initiative
  • Entrepreneurial spirit — comfortable working in a
    lean, fast-moving team
    environment with direct exposure to decision-making
  • Outstanding academic record in
    Finance, Economics, Business Administration
    , or a related field
