Client Service Manager

Bergen Logistics is seeking a dedicated and organized Client Service Manager to join our dynamic growing team. As a key player in our operations, you will be the crucial link between our clients and warehouse teams, ensuring that all logistics processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Your main responsibilities will include maintaining customer relationships, facilitating smooth communication between internal teams and clients, addressing inquiries, and resolving any logistical challenges that may arise. This position requires a proactive mindset and a strong commitment to excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with B2B clients, ensuring timely resolution of any issues or queries
  • Act as the primary contact for customers, providing consistent updates and managing expectations
  • Coordinate and oversee warehouse inbound and outbound shipping activities
  • Gather necessary customs documentation for import and export operations (e.g., import/export declarations; transit documents; good classifications)
  • Provide and manage origin-related documentation (e.g., Certificate of Origin; EUR.1, A.TR, ATA Carnet)
  • Identify bottlenecks in logistics processes and offer effective solutions
  • Create and deliver regular reports on logistics performance and customer satisfaction
  • Support clients with the onboarding process and training on system usage as needed

Requirements

  • MBO level obtained through education or relevant work experience
  • Relevant experience with customs matters, clearance and preparation of export documents.
  • Prior logistics and/or fashion experience is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a significant advantage
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment; self-motivated
  • A proactive approach to anticipating client needs and addressing potential issues
  • Resilient and able to work through challenging situations
